Krishna

Krishna is a heavy music band from Malta. The band explores many different sonic boundaries, including post-metal, post-rock, stoner rock, doom metal as well as a host of other genres.

The band currently consists of:
Timothy Garrett – Guitar and effects
Alan Darmanin – Drums and percussion

In 2023, the band is celebrating its 10th anniversary. Throughout the years, the band has had the opportunity to perform a number of shows, both independent and at local festivals, such as various editions of Rock the South Malta Festival, the Malta Doom Metal Festival, Reeferfest, SoundArt Malta and many more.

Krishna has an extensive discography, including 2 studio albums, 4 live albums and a single. The most recent album, Headless, was released in early 2023, and is comprised of one 50-minute-long piece. The album was recorded at Temple Studios in Malta, and mastered at Audiosiege Mastering Studio in Portland, Oregon and deals with themes of loss, and self-growth born of this loss. It was released on Kewn Records as a limited edition of cassettes which have sold out since its release and has been received very positively.

The band also released Despondent; a 20-minute single marking a heavier direction for Krishna’s sound, which continues exploring the themes of Headless and further expanding on the previous release’s sonic landscapes. Despondent was recorded by the band themselves and also released via Kewn Records.
